Kara Brooks (she/her/hers), from Oakland CA, by way of Pittsburgh PA. She earned her BA in Illustration at CCA, San Francisco CA and her MFA in Intermedia from ASU The Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts, AZ. Her most recent work, digital drawings, inspired by her deep interest in the intersections between culture, climate, and nurturing. Kara uses exaggerated angels, consumer brands and celebrating the ordinary as a storytelling tool. Inviting the viewer to wonder through her pieces and find themselves.
